Click post to see video. I did an animatic based on an additional chapter to my Illness graphic novel, and I never posted it. So following on the heels of my storyboard explanation it’s only right to post it now.

On top of the images are of course arrows indicating camera direction, as well as a viewfinder (square) indicating the  level of zoom.

It’s beneficial to any production to have a storyboard artist. It’s much more cost effective to pay him to explore the possibilities in camera direction, and see if the script works VISUALLY instead of wasting thousands of dollars on filming shots that won’t be used. Add in sound, and a little camera motion, and a storyboard become an animatic. A useful asset in live action productions, and especially in animation.
